To raise awareness on the importance of sleep for busy working people, MLILY; mattress brand and official sponsor and mattress provider of Manchester United, teamed up with the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group, which runs Salford Royal, North Manchester General Hospital, Rochdale Infirmary and the Royal Oldham. One member of staff from each location was invited along to Old Trafford to meet Manchester United legends.
The staff were greeted at Old Trafford before being taken to a suite for tea, coffee, biscuits and a chance to meet Andy Cole, Bryan Robson OBE, Denis Irwin and Wes Brown.
The event itself was created by MLILY to mark their new campaign, ‘Leave the Rest To Us’, the simple message of which centers on the importance of a good nights’ sleep for everyone, regardless of their profession.
“I believe it was a wonderful morning enjoyed by everyone and also a great opportunity to give something back to the NHS staff, and subsequently, back to the community and the people of Manchester,” comments Pomi Khan, CEO of MLILY CANADA.

NHS staff were given the opportunity to chat to the legends and also took the time to learn more about MLILY’s new campaign to raise awareness on the importance of sleep for everyone, regardless of profession.
“It was a true pleasure to meet the four United legends, they all made us feel so welcome,” said Gwen Nash, District Nurse Team Leader of Salford Royal. “It was certainly a change from what I do at work on a day to day basis, and I really enjoyed the morning.’

As Manchester NHS staff play such an important role in the city and local communities, the morning was a chance for MLILY and Manchester United to give them something in return.
“It was a fantastic morning, and a brilliant chance to meet the true legends of the Manchester community,” remarks Bryan Robson OBE.
